Historic Boston Brownstone

The home in Charlestown exceeded our expectations. The location was great for a perfect girl’s trip to Boston. The neighborhood is quite charming. Great restaurants and coffee shops. Saw lots of locals pushing strollers or out walking their dogs. Close to a Whole Foods. The home itself was clean and “as described” on their site. We loved the living room because it was our "gathering site." A couple things to note (1) the upstairs room with the futon is a “pass through” to the bathroom. Not very conducive to privacy. We chose not to use it. (2) The stairs are a little steep. We were fine, but it could be a concern for some people. Our host, Kate, was absolutely amazing. Beginning with the booking process, giving restaurant recommendations, very responsive to questions, and just overall kind. It’s only a 30 minute walk to Little Italy and maybe 40 minutes to the Quincy Market area. Or if you prefer a short 10 minute UBER ride. Close to the Freedom Trail. Definitely recommend.

This is the best, most charming, and single most memorable place I have ever stayed. The host was fantastic and also, one of the top 2 or 3 communicators I think I’ve ever experienced in my career. Truly an experience I will never forget. That house is a family heirloom unlike anything I’ve stayed in! What an absolute dream. And the location is great. The streets! The nearby garden! Everything was peaceful. Serene. And in a word… perfection. Thank you a million to the host for protecting its magic.

We had a large group for an extended girl's trip. We enjoyed exploring Charlestown, and loved the proximity to Little Italy. I would return if we decided to come back to Boston.

The site owner will not communicate. Our deposit was not returned though no damage was done. Appliances were broken and no one would fix them. Broken windows and heaters being left on with no way to turn them off during Summer made it unbearable inside. House has a pest problem as well. When contacting Vrbo they said that there is no way to get the site manager/owner to communicate. Beware your deposit will not be returned with no proof of issues as we left it in excellent condition and cleaner than we received it. Also, you do not get the entire house as advertised. The basement is rented out to other people and their pets.

Ein wunderschönes und gut ausgestattetes Haus in einer ruhigen Gegend in Boston… Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter verlief schnell und reibunslos, es war alles vor Ort um eine tolle Zeit zu haben … Eine klare Empfehlung !
